1. Small Publishers, Big Dreams
  2. Legacy Comix

One of the best thing about comics is that there are so many options for what to read. No matter what genre you’re looking for, no matter who you’re looking to be telling the perfect story for you, I’ll almost guarantee you that the thing you’re looking for exists.

Which is part of the problem, although saying it’s a problem is probably a strong word for it. There’s just so much out there that finding what you’re looking for can be a big challenge.

So I had a think. I’ve been talking to comic creators, I’ve been talking to publishers. Maybe I can do something to help put some eyes on things they wouldn’t have noticed before. Maybe I can help get these publishers in front of a new audience that might not have otherwise known that their stuff was even there to read.

Maybe I can solve all of the problems of the entire world by sharing some cool stuff with you. Or maybe just the publishing world? The comics world?

Yeah, we know I won’t do anything that large scale with this. But what I will do is hopefully show you some cool stuff that you can add to your reading pile. Maybe help you find your new favorite character is things go well enough. Maybe even have that new favorite character get a game made and force me to talk about the game on the podcast here and make things come around full circle in a way that would make most people think I made the whole thing up because it all falls together way too conveniently.

Here’s the deal. I’m going to use these articles as an excuse to tell you about some cool smaller publishers that I think you should check out. And if you happen to be involved with a small publisher who thinks that being a part of this would be a good idea then you might want to let me know so we can do something to make that happen.

I’ve got a few lined up. I have a few others that I know I need to contact. I’m still trying to decide where the cutoff is for being too big to be featured here, although it’s definitely somewhere smaller than Marvel and DC which is probably a given.

I’m excited to find some new cool stuff to read, and I hope you’re ready to come along for the ride.
